Association “Noise for Fredy”
On August 22, 2022, the Lucerne drummer Fredy Studer died at the age of 74.
Fredy Studer’s estate includes numerous written documents, sound recordings as well as pictures and films that need to be preserved. The Lucerne School of Music (HSLU) has secured a large part of this estate. Further documents have been taken over by the association “Noise for Fredy”.
The association has made it its task, on the one hand, to maintain the legacy of the musician and, on the other hand, to financially support the HSLU in the digitization of the estate. The digitization is realized by the HSLU in cooperation with the Fonoteca Switzerland. This work is connected with a high financial expenditure, which the HSLU cannot cover alone. Therefore, the association “Noise for Fredy” strives to make part of the financing possible through membership and patronage contributions.
By becoming a member of the association, you can help to ensure that Fredy Studer’s music remains accessible in the future. In return, members will receive a CD or LP from Fredy Studer’s estate and will be invited to a get-together, which will take place for the first time on 12.12.2024 – members of the association will of course be kept up to date with further information.
